The Role
We are seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing to join our Supply Chain leadership team. In this pivotal role, you’ll build and lead a high-performing sourcing organization, drive supplier and technology strategies, and shape procurement standards that fuel Vessel’s rapid growth.
This is not just about managing suppliers — it’s about crafting a global sourcing strategy that strengthens our competitive edge, ensures world-class material availability, and positions Vessel for long-term success. You’ll be at the center of critical partnerships across engineering, manufacturing, and product leadership while leading diversification initiatives that help us navigate today’s complex supply chain landscape.

What You’ll Do
- Shape Strategy: Define and execute sourcing strategies that align with product roadmaps, ensure resiliency, and deliver cost savings.
- Drive Impact: Lead negotiations, supplier diversification, and logistics optimization to achieve measurable savings and secure high-quality materials.
- Be a Change Maker: Standardize procurement processes across the organization while championing continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead & Inspire: Build, mentor, and develop a top-performing sourcing team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with product management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure aligned goals and seamless execution.
- Future-Proof the Supply Chain: Anticipate market trends, mitigate risks, and introduce innovative approaches to sourcing and supplier partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
- Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Master’s a plus); 10+ years in operations/supply chain
- Expertise: Proven track record in sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, and cost reduction across multiple geographies (hardgoods category experience preferred).
- Leadership: Strong people leader who can set vision, build teams, and influence across all levels of an organization.
- Skills: Advanced analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and execution.
- Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 40% to York, PA and New York City offices as needed.
$175,000 - $175,000 a year
