The Team:
The Operations Technologies team drives the innovation and development of Middle-Office Operations products that provide automation and scale to custodian accounting and third-party market data integrations, reconciliation, transaction management, billing, portfolio performance calculations, client statements, and business reports. We develop features to make MyVest's Operations team more productive, and we provide the data on which the other teams rely.
The Opportunity:
As an engineer on the Operations Technologies team, you will get the opportunity to support our award- winning enterprise financial services application in production and contribute to the next generation of tax management software for wealth management and financial services. Collaborate closely with product management to understand our software and develop new product features and enhance our existing features.

- You’re experienced in Agile methodologies, adept at collaborating with team members on story-based development with a focus on defining clear acceptance criteria.
- Personal finance and fintech are interesting to you.
Ideal Experience:
- Java, Web Services (RESTful endpoints), Spring, and Hibernate are technologies you regularly develop products in.
- Proficiency with ETL tools hands-on use while coding.
- Data mining experience, analyzing production data within complex data models to identify edge conditions and related use cases, in order to design and implement expansive solutions that maintain existing requirements and meet new ones.
- You have a deep understanding of relational databases (SQL, Data Modeling) and their integration into complex enterprise products. Furthermore, you excel in optimization strategies to enhance overall system performance.
- As a tech lead, you've led complex development projects, owning project plans and holding members of the team accountable for their deliverables.
- You're experienced developing with NoSQL, ideally Cassandra/CQL, and scalable distributed systems
- You’re dedicated to Test-Driven Development (TDD), demonstrated through a history of seamlessly integrating this approach to guarantee resiliency and good code quality.
Location:
- While MyVest is in a hybrid (office and work-from-home) work model, this role is required to be in the office frequently. MyVest will fill this position in the San Francisco Bay Area only.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary for this role will be between $180,000 to $199,000. Placement in this range depends upon a variety of factors including prior relevant experience and skill set.
- The range listed above is just one component of MyVest's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation includes an annual bonus, long-term incentives, and program-specific stipends.
