Our client, one of HK's leading enterprises, is looking for a Senior System Specialist to manage the systems in a Linux environment, leading feasibility analysis and working closely with other teams to ensure successful delivery of automation solutions.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the execution, setup and deployment of systems on a virtualized LINUX environment
- Offer necessary support to the IT Operations team by automating routine tasks
- Take the lead for the initial feasibility analysis, conceptual tests, and the deployment of automation tools
- Collaborate actively with different teams to ensure the successful delivery of automation solutions
What you will need:
- Degree in Computer Science or a field closely related is required with 8+ years of experience in Linux administration, implementation and support
- Comprehensive understanding of virtualization technologies, networking, storage systems, backup strategies, monitoring techniques, and best practices for maintaining security.
- Prior experience in script programming, the automation of tasks (eg. Ansible), and the use of container orchestration tools (like OpenShift) is particularly desirable.
- Possession of certifications such as RHCSA, LPIC-1, or CompTIA Linux+ is a big plus
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required, along with a strong drive for self-motivation.
