Are you ready to be part of an exciting initiative to shake up the traditional Whisky industry?
CoW is on a mission to reimagine cask ownership opportunities. With a strong distillery partnership network, CoW’s service goes beyond cask trading and consultation, but also hosts educational sessions, private events and other public appearances.
As a data scientist, you will be a key asset to take up a pivotal role in the company’s new AI project with actively involvement in ongoing research and experiments.
What You Will Do
- Pioneer the development of advanced algorithms and predictive models to forecast market trends and optimize product performance, contributing to the in-house AI model development.
- Uncover hidden opportunities within vast datasets by analyzing structured and unstructured information, visualizing key findings, and translating insights into strategic new business models.
- Ensure the health and efficiency of the data ecosystem through diligent maintenance of analytics data models and management of valuable data assets.
- Empower stakeholders with clarity by developing impactful analytics reports and intuitive visualization dashboards that monitor business performance and deliver crucial insights.
What You Will Bring
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree or advanced qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline that emphasizes quantitative analysis.
- Analytical toolkit: Experience applying modern analytical methodologies and a strong command of programming languages (ideally Python) used for data analysis.
- Visualization experience: Comfortable utilizing data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau to convey complex insights.
- Database proficiency: Demonstrated knowledge of MongoDB and SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Analytical mindset: Solid problem-solving skills with a commitment to accuracy and detail.
- Interpersonal skills: Outstanding communication and presentation skills to articulate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- Language skills: Strong command of written and spoken English or Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin is considered an asset.
