Overview
A dynamic technology company is seeking an exceptional Head of Infrastructure to lead their next phase of innovation. This key leadership position will be instrumental in overseeing the entire infrastructure & Devops areas. The role requires oversight of development, testing, and production environments in public clouds, ensuring compliance with non-functional requirements such as security, stability, and performance.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team with members in HK, mainland China, Europe and US to manage the cloud infrastructure for enterprise SaaS solutions
- Manage the development, testing and production environments in public clouds fulling non-functional requirements including security, stability, resiliency, business continuity, performance, scalability and system integration
- Drive continuous improvements in infrastructure design, configuration management, operations automation, and cost optimization
- Support our compliance manager in working with external auditors on SOC 2 Type 2 certification, including security tests
- Collaborate with the product and application development teams on improvements beyond infrastructure
- Managing IT help desk operations, internal IT tools, office network and system adoption
- Assessing and managing IT vendors to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline with 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure
- Solid experience in major public clouds including AWS and Azure (relevant certifications in AWS, Azure and DevOps and experience in other public clouds like GCP are also desirable)
- Experience in managing cloud networking, NGINX, Kubernetes, Java applications, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Redis / Valkey, RabbitMQ / Azure Service Bus, AWS S3 / Azure Blob Storage
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and tools such as Jenkins
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and vendor negotiations
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
