Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned Assistant Manager to join their operations team. This role involves coordinating the entire supply network and leading planning procedures. The position requires cross-functional work across global markets, directing production planning and product availability, and communicating with customer service, sales brand partners, and suppliers.

What You Will Do

    • Planning for Demand and Supply:
    • This involves leading the planning process involving airlines, suppliers, and brands. This includes managing relationships with key suppliers, tracking adherence to the production plan, and ensuring timely delivery and compliance with the terms of contracts. It also involves supporting new projects, launches, and rotation changes with product order schedules.
    • Responsibilities also include monitoring product availability and daily operational activities, proactively identifying potential shortages or excess stock risks. This role leads the supply issue resolution process by providing recommendations, tracking progress, and maintaining effective communication internally and externally for managing expectations.
    • The role also manages supply planning processes and tools to develop effective supply plans and maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Management of Inventory:
    • This involves defining and regularly adjusting target stock levels for each product or airline to maintain an expected service level.
    • The role also identifies slow-moving stock and initiates actions to remove and prevent the recurrence of slow-moving stock.
    • The role provides input and intelligence for inventory projections used in inventory budgeting.
    • Continuous Improvement:
    • This role leads the improvement of planning processes and tools.
    • The role constantly reviews existing workflows and drives ongoing improvements to enhance efficiency, mitigate loss, and deliver cost savings.

What You Will Need

    •      Degree holder in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain or Equivalent
    •      Rich experience in supply or/and demand planning function
    •      Data sensitive and strong analytical skills
    •      Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
    •      Ability to build strong relationships across functions and levels
    •      Basic knowledge of sales strategy and brand positioning
    •      Fluent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
    •      Strong Excel Skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups etc.),
    •      Advanced in digital / BI tools (Power BI) is a plus
    •      Proficiency in Dynamics is a plus
