NASA Federal Credit Union is in search of a Member Solutions Coordinator with knowledge of Credit Union loan policies and procedures as well as Loss Mitigation policies and procedures for accurate and timely loan workout processing, with the ability to build member relationships required to effectively discuss credit criteria, interest rates, and documentation requirements with borrowers or other staff.  The Member Solutions Coordinator will work with Member Solutions Workout Officers to provide professional and efficient loan servicing to Credit Union members in financial need.  This position will possess a thorough knowledge of posting payments, transactions, file maintenance and daily branch and general ledger balancing in a Credit Union core system.  It will possess knowledge of preparing loan files for referral to collection attorneys and agencies.   The Member Solutions Coordinator will also act as a back-up to the Member Solutions Assistant. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following with other duties as assigned.

    • Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
    • Takes inquiries from members regarding Member Solutions loss mitigation.
    • Deliver loss mitigation documents and correspondence to members.
    • Coordinates documentation from BALANCE and other outside sources.
    • Follows up with member inquiries.
    • Coordinates with Member Solutions Workout Officers and members to ensure all appropriate documentation and information is obtained. 
    • Verifies and updates all member information as appropriate.
    • Organizes loss mitigation loan documentation for Member Solutions Workout Officer review.
    • Completes “Recommend Legal Action” workflow upon managements request.
    • Prepares, organizes, stores loan files for legal package referral to collection attorney’s.
    • Uploads completed workout and legal packages to Temenos and Synergy.
    • Processes and responds to requests for information from Attorneys, Collection Agencies, and department vendors.
    • Review affidavits for accuracy and present to management for signature.
    • Takes minutes at the bi-weekly mortgage committee meeting.
    • Verifies value of collateral.
    • Orders force placed insurance and verifies placement on Foreclosure and REO properties.
    • Completes Property management activities for Foreclosure and REO properties to ensure utilities are maintained and property is preserved.
    • Completes quarterly review of 1099-C accounts in preparation for annual processing.
    • Maintains all reports generated for the Member Solutions Team.
    • Posts and balances all monetary transactions performed by the Member Solutions Team.
    • Answers incoming external and internal telephone calls.
    • Maintains Phone Queue Abandoned Call Ratio Goals.

Education and Experience:

    • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
    • Working Knowledge of Reg F, a plus
