Supply Chain
The Senior Buyer position will be responsible for ensuring the timely purchase, delivery, and receipt of designated products at the lowest overall cost to the organization. This person will be expected to apply solid knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures to ensure that the right products are available at the right time, price, and quality.


    • Responsible for all day to day purchasing activities while managing the inventory expectations of the department
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels and days on hand
    • Communicate any out of stock issues or concerns with the Associate Director of Supply Chain
    • Cultivate innovative and creative ideas to promote new areas of growth
    • Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships
    • Price negotiations with vendors
    • Support vendor onboarding process
    • Work with Director of Supply Chain on contract negotiations with vendors
    • Help train new Supply Chain employees
    • Serve as a subject expert in their defined categories
    • Work with the Finance Team and help support AP process       
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Retail
    • Work with Retail team to help determine a competitive pricing strategy
    • Work with retail and marketing teams to help build and curate a brand-aligned assortment including SKU mix, design and seasonality
    • Support marketing and retail teams by executing on sales and promotional plans to meet
    • company goals
    • Work with vendors on execution of promotions and sales initiatives
    • Ongoing data analysis and assortment reviews
    • Work closely with Buyer to manage inventory turns and SKU efficiencies
    • Collaborate with marketing and retail on communication, forecasting and category development
    • Maintain awareness of competitive assortments, pricing and promotions

    • Production
    • Order items used in day to day production as well as research and purchase one off items as requested with proper management approval
    • Communicate any changes in delivery schedule with Inventory Supervisor as well as the team member who ordered the item.
    • Work directly with managers to understand usage changes and adjust orders accordingly
    • Coordinate and communicate directly with Grow, Production and MIP
    • Help implement/define ordering expectations to new departments/employees
    • Work directly with compliance and the Associate Director of Supply Chain on any compliance or quality issues.
    • Analyze, develop, and implement strategies to reduce supplier lead time and improve on-time-delivery.
    • Resolve problems that arise in relation to delivery dates, quality, specifications, quantity or cost of purchased goods or services.
    • Provide spend reports to managers every month


    • Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in business preferred
    • 4+ years with relevant work experience
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Attention to detail, financial acumen and analytical skills necessary
    • Excellent planning, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize and work on a variety of projects at the same time
    • Team-Oriented and demonstrated excellence in direct and cross functional leadership
    • Outstanding organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Passion for the industry, industry trends and company values
    • Proficient in Microsoft and Google products
    • Must be adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
    • Must possess a Support badge issued by the Marijuana Enforcement Division

Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to read reports and use computer
    • Must be able to communicate with co-workers
    • Standing/walking occasionally required - up to 3 miles/day
    • Rare assignments will require climbing, stooping, kneeling
    • Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 40 lbs.
    • Must be able to write, type, and use phone systems
