Marketing Operations Lead

Your Role:

    • The Marketing Operations lead is a critical role for Native Roots. You will manage large, complex programs from inception through completion and are responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle including diagnosing project needs, managing project teams, and leveraging the knowledge and creativity of colleagues to generate robust business solutions. Marketing Operations Leads have strong leadership, influence and conflict resolution skills, and experience in Consumer Packaged Goods lifecycle management. You are comfortable providing regular reporting to inform financial and operational health across all projects, and are excited about the opportunity to plan, schedule, prioritize and allocate resources in order to drive projects. You will take disparate pieces of information from finance, legal, and design teams and provide a holistic perspective that informs thoughtful decision-making and inspires ideas towards better operational efficiency. You will continually seek opportunities to help us work smarter through new tools and processes.

Your Contributions:

    • Maintain a project dashboard to communicate status of 10-15 projects. Develop program management process including contracts, program scope, program organization, resourcing, plan development and risk management
    • Work with Creative Director to lead cross-functional teams across the following: Packaging, including structure, imagery, graphics, and compliance; Product, including industrial design, color, material, and finish manufacturing processes; CX, including marketing concept delivery, retail environmental design, and product launch
    • Allocate and prioritize Product Design and Development resources across all projects to maintain project schedules. Establish timelines to complete milestone stages and develop, maintain and communicate schedules across all Native Roots product and business teams while ensuring project schedules are met on time and with quality
    • Provide weekly updates to key stakeholders on all open projects including status on project milestones, risks, blockers. Manage/monitor and track progress and performance against plan. Assess project development risks and negotiate resource requirements
    • Lead budget control and cost analysis on programs and communicate pertinent details to Creative Director. Maintain internal reporting. And communicate all issues impacting deliverables, schedules, and budget with thorough documentation
    • Interface with cross-functional teams in addition to product design including executive stakeholders, marketers, supply chain leads, manufacturing, legal, compliance, and others

    • BFA or BS in a field with product development focus
    • Minimum 7+ Years of project management experience
    • Experience leading projects; including design, development, quality/timely deployment, etc.
    • Experience from a client service organization, preferably in a client facing role
    • Team-oriented with the ability able to seamlessly partner with product designers to assess risk, strategize and meet deliverables for projects
    • Project Management experience in consumer products environment with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to develop comprehensive project timelines
    • Comfortability with change and conflict resolution/management
    • Demonstrated experience managing medium to large size teams of cross-functional resources with complex, multi-location programs
    • Excellent understanding of product design and brand strategy
    • Experience in account management and business development practices
    • Experience and knowledge of design and design processes, combined with technology
    • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills with impeccable responsiveness and follow-through on details
    • Experience with and interest in project management tools, project management methodologies and best practices
    • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence others by negotiating and building cohesiveness across diverse individual skills and styles
    • Proven ability and desire to solve problems and look for opportunities for improvement
