Natron Energy is seeking a Production Line Supervisor to support direct production staff training/coaching, and production ramp up of its Battery Plant. Main departments include: Electrode Production, Cell Assembly, & Final Pack Assembly. Tenacious commitment to training new employees, continuous improvement with thoughtful, collaborative, and disciplined execution is a must.
Responsibilites
- Execute production plans within the Electrode, Cell Assembly, and Final Pack Assembly departments.
- Support new product/new equipment introduction activities by collaborating with process engineers and SMEs to build strong production teams.
- Assign tasks/supervise teams of 15-25 technicians to accomplish production output goals, communicate requirements to the team, monitor progress, establish priorities, revise schedules, and reporting production results and issues daily.
- Provide detailed explanations of production results and issues reported daily during leadership production meetings with the expectation to be able to answer questions and respond to requests made by production management and engineering teams.
- Support recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, and holding employees accountable.
- Maintain a safe & clean work environment by educating and directing employees to comply with established policies and procedures. Complete incident investigations with EHS support
- Work effectively with cross functional teams to support the implementation of new equipment, fixtures, and procedures to improve quality, output, yield, and OEE.
- Work with other cross functional teams to determine root causes of product defects, poor product performance, & line down time.
- Solicit production feedback on existing and new products introductions and process changes from technician team to keep teams fully engaged in their work.
- Complete payroll for hourly employees and maintain attendance/employee performance records.
Experience/Education
- Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment with at least 3 years of that experience being in a leadership role. Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Supervision, Coaching/Training, Production Plan Execution.
- Prior experience within the chemical industry or battery industry (slurry mixing, slot-die coating, cell assembly, pack assembly, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in addressing and closing out quality issues, yield issues, equipment downtime issues, and maintaining improvements so similar issues do not occur.
- Technical aptitude to understand details of product, material, and process characteristics.
- Experience working in complex, dynamic and hybrid development/sustaining production environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of 5S, SPC, SOP, & Work Instruction creation.
- Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Compensation/Pay Transparency:
- Base Salary is determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, and other legitimate business reasons, including, but not limited to, compliance with applicable immigration law prevailing wages.
