Neighborly is a fast-growing, venture-backed public finance startup headquartered in downtown San Francisco, with offices in New York and Kansas City. Positioned in the intersection of technology, finance and government, we develop exceptional technologies to radically modernize public finance, the $1 billion per-day, 200 year-old market that powers vital public projects like schools, parks, and next-generation infrastructure. Our solutions positively impact the operational efficiency of public finance, how our communities evolve, and how citizens participate in their democracy.

We're a team of civic geeks, finance folks, designers and engineers, shaking up an industry together. We want passionate interns to join us as software engineers and data scientists. At Neighborly, interns hit the ground running and cycle through our engineering teams. You’ll get mentorship and direct access to our entire tech stack. We run a Docker-powered, Apache Spark, Scala, Rails, React and Ember-delicious development environment. By the end of your internship, you will wrangle Scala, tame the Javascripts and eat Ruby for lunch while learning Agile principles and engineering workflows.
