Director of Brokerage Operations

The objective of this position is to lead the brokerage operations team for Neighborly Securities, our wholly owned broker-dealer. You have enough experience to understand how today’s world works, and enough drive to help make it work much better. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our exceptional team of Silicon Valley engineers to help revolutionize fixed income trading, clearing, and settlement by developing new approaches to brokerage operations.

What You'll Do

    • Work closely with our team to ensure clearing and processing of trades is seamless and fully compliant
    • Collaborate with our compliance team to develop policies and procedures to mitigate compliance and operational risk
    • Process and monitor trades, transfers, wires, ACH and ACAT requests
    • Establish and maintain customer account documents
    • Act as a liaison with customers to ensure proper settlement
    • Assist in the setup, processing and closing of negotiated and competitive primary issuances
    • Work with talented engineers to technologize and automate clearing and account processes


    • 3+ years fixed income market operations experience
    • Good understanding of regulatory and compliance matters
    • Crisp attention to detail
    • Experience working with outside clearing firms
    • Experienced enough to know how the industry operates today, ambitious enough to help improve how it works in the future
    • Humble, Hungry, Curious to the core
    • Self-motivated and confident; ability to work with minimal supervision

Additional Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with NetX360, IPREO, Bloomberg, TOMS, Omgeo ALERT, RTTM
    • Knowledge of alternative trading system (ATS) operations
    • Knowledge of self-clearing operations
    • Experience in a fast-moving startup environment
    • Passionate about the power of open data
    • Additional municipal bond industry experience
