At Nelly, we are reshaping the future of healthcare. Instead of settling for outdated bureaucracy, we’re building the fintech and AI infrastructure that will fundamentally transform how medical services are delivered and paid for. Our mission is ambitious: we aim to remove friction from the system, relieve medical teams, and create space — so that the focus can finally return to where it belongs: on the patients.
With a Series B funding round of €50 million from leading investors such as Lakestar, Cathay, Notion, GFC, b2venture, and Motive Partners, we are on a strong growth trajectory. Our goal: to support over one million medical practices and ultimately reach 750 million people across Europe.
A quick note in advance: even if your profile doesn’t match the description 100%, but you’re convinced that the position is a great fit for you — go ahead and apply! We welcome people who bring motivation, a willingness to learn, and fresh ideas.
Your Role at Nelly
- As a Finance Intern, you’ll be at the heart of a fast-growing healthtech & fintech scale-up, gaining hands-on experience across FP&A, Accounting, and Strategy. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, shaping how financial insights drive real business decisions.
- Be the Numbers Brain: Dive into budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to uncover trends and deliver insights that matter.
- Shape Our Story to Investors: Contribute to monthly reports and help craft board-level materials that influence how we grow.
- Turn Data into Decisions: Build financial models and dashboards that guide strategic and operational choices.
- Drive Cross-Team Impact: Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to boost visibility and efficiency across the business.
- Make Things Run Smarter: Spot inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and leave your mark by helping us scale smarter.
What You’ll Bring
- Availability & Language Skills: You’re fluent in English and German and can join us for at least 4–6 months. You’re currently enrolled in or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A Curious Mindset: You’re eager to learn, challenge the status quo, and get a deep understanding of financial processes, business models, and decision-making in a fast-growing scale-up.
- Hands-On Mentality: You love taking ownership, working pragmatically, and know when “done” is better than “perfect” — and vice versa.
- Analytical Strength: You bring strong quantitative skills, with solid Excel/Google Sheets abilities (financial modeling, data analysis, dashboards).
- Financial Foundations: You understand how the three financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) connect and are keen to apply that knowledge to real business challenges.
- Early Experience: You’ve gained some initial exposure to finance — whether through internships, working student roles, or projects in areas like startups, investment banking, VC, or consulting.
- Growth Mindset: You’re motivated to take initiative, support strategic and operational finance topics, and accelerate your personal and professional development.
- Team Spirit: You share our culture of high standards, pragmatism, and openness, and you thrive in a collaborative environment.
