At Spry Fox, we think of producers first and foremost as people who facilitate communication between other members of the team and make sure that everyone is on the same page. Producers also help identify exciting opportunities that the team might be overlooking, as well as dangerous risks that might be going unappreciated. And last but not least, producers help ensure that we’re not dropping any important balls. Great communication and organizational skills, empathy for others, and an ability to remain and to spread calm are all highly appreciated in this position. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! If you’re looking for a job in which the producer is “the ultimate boss”, this is not the job for you.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate clear and concise communication across team members.
    • Ensure important tasks and deadlines are met without dropping any balls
    • Identify and track opportunities and risks
    • Build consensus and resolve conflicts with empathy and mature conflict resolution
    • Own not just the schedule, but the ongoing task of determining how the team can do its best creative work with the time and resources available.

Requirements (mandatory)

    • You’ve shipped at least two commercial video games as a Senior Producer with games companies with at least ten full-time game developers.
    • Leadership skills that will help you succeed in guiding teams in a remote team environment.
    • Well-developed empathy that helps you connect with your peers across game development disciplines, relate to our players, and employ mature conflict resolution and project management skills.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to get team members aligned on priorities when there are multiple distractions
    • You must live within three hours of the Pacific time zone (PST).
    • Prior live-service game development experience (at least a year in Live Service).

Plusses

    • Plenty of experience playing cozy life sim-style games (i.e. Animal Crossing, Spiritfarer, etc.)
    • An art and/or engineering background/experience alongside production experience is always a big plus and makes it easier for our producers to do what they do best.
