We want merchandise, interactive games, and experiences to help promote our titles and build them into title brands, or franchises, so they become part of the zeitgeist for longer periods of time.

That’s where you come in, we’re seeking a Retail Lead to support our consumer products growth ambitions in DACH. In this role, you lead the launch of innovative products and immersive retail activations, featuring Netflix titles such as Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Bridgerton. Reporting directly to the country lead, your focus is on developing and implementing best practices to position Netflix as a preeminent player in the region's retail landscape. 

This role requires someone to take on the responsibility of creating and executing the Netflix consumer retail strategy for DACH based on the Netflix originals content slate.

Mission
As the Retail Lead DACH at Netflix, you have a broad and deep knowledge of the diverse DACH retail sector and navigate strategic partnerships with retailers such as Edeka, Schwarz Gruppe, dm-drogerie Markt, Amazon etc.

Job Description (Objectives)

    • Foundation & Strategy: Laying out the strategy through DTR and/or retail development and continue building retailers relationship 
    • Management & prioritization: Inform retailers about Netflix upcoming content, products and provide necessary tools for them to increase sales performance of Netflix products
    • Revenue maximization: Analyze and scale business opportunities through category analysis, as well as identifying key revenue drivers throughout the year
    • Planning & Trade Marketing: Plan the launch-to-market programs as well as potential cross-category retail activations with key stakeholders both retailers and licensees 
    • Cross-functional support: create and leverage best-retail practices from other countries/regions - UCAN, LATAM, APAC and EMEA into local market and vice-versa 

What we are looking for

    • Demonstrated, 8+ years of experience in the retail industry with F&B brands and/or content IPs, with proven results
    • Ownership of relationship with retailers across buying, marketing and category management, solid retail network 
    • Knowledge on operational marketing / omnichannel approach
    • Agile, goal-oriented, driven to succeed and always up for a challenge
    • Data performance analysis
    • Cross-functional teamwork knowledge, how to navigate and connect the dots 
    • Retail business knowledge across different tiers from Mass-market, speciality to online 
    • Trade marketing and retail activations experience 
    • Passion for innovation
    • Proactive and creativity at its core 
    • Entrepreneurial and fast-growing competency 
    • Adaptable to multiple changes and speed
    • A natural and deep affection for film, television and or brands
