As Netflix grows, the Audio Visual (AV) Builds team within our Netflix Technology Services (N-Tech) is searching for an inclusive, motivated, knowledgeable leader to join and lead the AV Builds team. The AV Builds team works to design, build, and support high quality collaborative spaces. These spaces exist across the many domains of Netflix from corporate, animation, and gaming spaces as well as a variety of different venues.

As an AV Builds manager, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects for the AV Builds team from design/consultation to execution.  This role should focus on hiring and developing the Amers AV Builds team, and helping craft strategies to bring the group to the next level.  You will lead the technical representation for our cross-functional partners and vendors to help, design, manage, and execute Netflix Builds. You will utilize metrics to measure success, customer satisfaction, make strategic decisions, and help the team scale. You will partner with cross-functional teams, senior leadership and other regional N-Tech managers to ensure a consistent and exceptional AV experience across all of our internal Builds. The AV Builds Manager is a hands-on leader with a strong technical aptitude and ability to roll up their sleeves and join the various projects if needed. You will also own and drive various vendor/partner relationships, such as event venues, production vendors, and digital event platforms. While this role is focused on Amers, it will be important to stay aligned with global partners.

Role Responsibilities:

    • Leading and scaling Amers AV Builds team to the needs of Netflix
    • Foster and encourage Netflix’s culture within the AV Builds team
    • Maintain relationships with industry partners (3rd Parties, tech partners, etc)
    • Help develop process and cross-collaboration with other teams
    • Hiring, training, development of the AV Builds team
    • Have a strategic mindset when it comes to team discussions and direction
    • Partnering closely with business partners to ensure flawless productions
    • Manage vendor relations, contracts, rental quotes, and design RFPs
    • Gear procurement and asset management
    • Providing metrics on the team’s performance and areas of needed growth
    • Partner with cross functional partners on global initiatives

Recommended Experience:

    • Strong experience coordinating technical logistics and equipment needs (internationally a bonus)
    • Experience with reading and/or creating CAD designs and proposals
    • Strong AV technical background with focus on working with various AV technologies such as Audio Routing (Dante) and mixing, Projectors, Video Walls, Rigging, etc.
    • Strong project management abilities.
    • Familiarity with Product management principles and experience putting them into practice
    • Several years experience managing an AV team, specifically in a build capacity. 
    • Experience deploying and maintaining AV technology in new office builds, working closely with Real Estate, Facilities and Project Management teams.
    • Strong vendor management skills.
    • Expertise in cloud conferencing platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
    • Experience with budgetary/procurement and asset management efforts and the teams that help support.
    • Scaling a lean team effectively and nimbly with leadership experience managing employees, contingent talent, and/or vendor support.
    • Leading, training, and upleveling individual contributors with an adaptable style.
    • Experience building and/or leading an inclusive and diverse workforce.
    • Live Production Event experience, a plus. 
    • Studio and/or production experience, a plus.
    • Gaming experience, a plus.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. 

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $180,000 - $900,000.
