About the Role:
Netomi is looking for a Sr. Accountant who will lead all aspects of core accounting and financial
operations functions. This position reports to the VP of Finance & Operations and requires
working closely with other team leads within the organization as well as key external partners.
You will be a key player in driving the financial success of the organization through your
valuable contributions in building and sustaining a world-class finance function. This role will
challenge you to not only develop new strategies but also drive their execution and own the
outcomes. Analytical rigor and strategic thinking are a must, but we’ll also need you to get your
hands dirty to help drive real, sustainable impact.
This role is open for US candidates located in the Eastern time zone with a preference of New York tri-state area
In this role, you will:
- Own AP, AR, Expense Management, Cash Management, GL and manage all related accounting processes
- Lead the efforts of managing the GL and implementing accounting methodology change as per GAAP including but not limited to managing Revenue Recognition
- Own the Financial Close and Financial Reporting Process
- Assist in preparing and consolidating the organization budget alongside VP Finance and other team leads
- Assist in evaluating the existing finance tech stack and identifying best-in-class tools that create efficiencies today while keeping scale in mind
- Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed
Must haves:
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with standard software solutions such as: Bill.com, Expensify, SalesForce, FP&A tools etc.
We are looking for a blend of:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience for a B2B SaaS company
- Detail-oriented with great analytical and organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity
- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for building value
- Willing and able to roll up sleeves as an individual contributor and also influence and leverage corporate resources
- Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects at the same time
- Creative, innovative, and always thinks outside the box
