Since our origins at MIT in 2008, NetVirta has grown to a team of 60+ people with offices in Boston and Singapore. We partner with top brands in fashion, medical, and sporting gear to ensure their customers find the correct size and fit products. How? We developed incredibly precise 3D body scanning app. Each year, thousands of doctors use it to create custom-fit orthotics and prosthetics for medical patients. Every NFL, NCAA, and high school football player that obtains a custom-fit helmet is also scanned by our technology. And since expanding our capabilities to meet the needs of fashion brands in 2019, nearly a dozen brands across North America, Europe, and Asia have adopted our solution to reduce their online return rates and increase customer satisfaction. About the Role
We’re seeking ambitious Business Development professionals to expand our footprint in the fashion industry. You will be responsible for driving partnerships with clothing, footwear, and sporting goods brands headquartered around the world. You will own the full sales cycle from lead to close (ie. outbound, sales presentation, project scoping/proposal, negotiation and close), and take a consultative role with prospective clients. This is not your classic, transactional sales role at an established software company. The job requires creative problem solving to ensure clients are not only happy with digital integration of our solution, but also satisfied with the results of our size recommendation engine. Ultimately NetVirta helps brands enhance their customer fit experience, reduce returns, and produce better fitting products with body data intelligence.

In this Business Development position, you will have the opportunity to work with the top innovators in fashion fit technology, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

    • Generate and close new partnership opportunities with clothing, footwear and sporting goods brands, headquartered around the world
    • Lead entire sales process, including outbound, sales presentation, qualification, project scoping/proposal, negotiation and close
    • Masterfully communicate the key benefits and features of NetVirta’s Verifyt solution to client stakeholders on eCommerce, Innovation, Executive, and Technical Design teams
    • Translate understanding of client’s business and digital requirements into a selection of NetVirta’s Verifyt solution service elements
    • Ensure the successful delivery of our solution, utilizing project management skills, and collaborating with our internal R&D team
    • Post Deal-Close: Manage the relationship with clients to increase the value we provide them, and revenue we generate from them
    • Collaborate with Marketing to drive partnership announcements among other initiatives
    • Collaborate with R&D to ensure our Verifyt solution reflects the evolving needs of our brand clients and their customers

Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to build relationships with prospective clients across multiple departments and levels of hierarchy
    • Ability to think critically, solve problems and stay organized
    • Project management skills - develop and execute processes, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic software integration understanding (eg. KPIs, SDKs, etc.)
    • Excellent at teamwork and cross group collaboration
    • Experience using sales tools like Salesforce and Yesware
    • Passionate about technology, innovation and startups
    • Loves to travel

Preferred Traits

    • Eagerness to learn and problem solve
    • 4+ years experience working in startups, business development, sales strategy or IT consulting
    • Tech savvy and excited to learn about, or experienced with the 3D scanning, CAD/CAM, computer vision, APIs/SDKs, or software development
    • Background in fashion, footwear, sporting goods, etc. is a plus
