Neuralink is developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers. We are building a team of multidisciplinary experts passionate about making a world-changing impact.

Our implant systems team is looking for an experienced, hands-on electrical engineer for implant electronics design and integration. This is a unique role perfect for someone who is interested in owning advanced projects, not only working on incremental changes, and being an integral member of a small, fast-moving team. You will have the opportunity to do all phases of board design (part selection, schematic design, layout, and bring-up) as well as work closely with chip designers, robotics, and microfabrication experts for system integration.

About you:

    • You find large challenges exciting and enjoy discovering and defining problems as much as solving them.
    • You deliver. You may enjoy thoughtful conversations about problems and perfecting designs, but in the end, you know that what matters is delivering a manufacturable solution that works every time.
    • You are a cross-disciplinary team member. You are excited to work with and learn from software, mechanical, electrical, materials, biological engineers, and neuroscientists. You are comfortable communicating across teams.
    • Resourceful, flexible and adaptable; no task is too big or too small.

Key qualifications:

    • Evidence of exceptional ability in electrical engineering.
    • 5+ years of experience designing hardware systems.
    • Extensive experience in all phases of development, including, schematic entry, constraints, board layout, system integration, and bring-up.

Preferred qualifications:

    • Fluency in Cadence, Allegro, or Altium tools and PCB design methodologies.
    • Experience working with sensors, high-speed layout, signal/power integrity, and power management.
    • Experience with wireless powering and communication systems.
    • Experience with firmware development for embedded systems.
    • Experience with FPGA.

What we offer:

    • An opportunity to change the world and work with some of the smartest and the most talented experts from different fields.
    • Growth potential. We rapidly advance team members who have an outsized impact.
    • Flexible vacation policy.
    • Excellent medical, dental and vision insurance through a PPO plan.
    • Meals provided.
    • Stock options.
