Position Overview
The Product Operations Manager will implement a variety of operational and software improvements across the organization.  The role is split 50/50 between
A) improving and documenting Standard Operating Procedures, and
B) driving improvement to our internal Project Development Platform 

Documenting cross-functional procedures 
This aspect of the role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels within the company to document team-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), identifying efficiencies, and propose workflow improvements.  An early part of this work will involve spearheading the transition from a MS Word file to an open-source and cloud based wiki platform where each team can collaborate on the documentation of their SOPs. 

Drive improvements to the Project Development Platform  
Nevados is investing heavily in a centralized system called the Project Development Platform (PDP) that will act as the source of truth for key information and documents related to the development of project proposals and post-sale project execution.  This portion of the role is further divided 50/50 between A) Software support and B) Bill of Materials (BOM) management.   
 
Software support 
The candidate will play a key role in supporting the PDP software development roadmap.  Work will include documenting & training users on the software, troubleshooting issues, and organizing development activity via task management in Github. 
 
BOM management 
The BOM tool is used to estimate project costs and provide the Customer with a polished proposal of the associated price.  The candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining this cost estimation model, which requires a bi-weekly update of inputs and consistent collaboration with various teams on required changes to the model.   

Responsibilities

    • Document and update Standard Operating Procedures across the organization 
    • Provide software support in the form of documentation, troubleshooting, and task management  
    • Develop and maintain the Company’s primary project cost estimation model 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the solar industry strongly preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills   
    • Highly technical with expertise in the suite of Microsoft products, especially Excel 
    • Experience in forecasting / cost estimation. 
    • Autonomous problem solver with a very high attention to detail. 
$75,000 - $150,000 a year
Actual base salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
