Newfront is a fast-growing startup in the $500bn+ insurance industry. As both an insurance brokerage and a technology company, we're wrangling the complexity of this centuries-old business with new processes and tools. We launched mid-2017 and are now a team of over 90 brokers, account managers, and engineers.
At Newfront we're building a technology platform to manage the operation of our brokerage. Central to this effort are tools for our account management team that support workflows like creating proposals of coverage for clients, tracking changes to policies, and generating proof of insurance documents.
In this role, you will work closely with the account management team to understand their workflows and design software that helps them accomplish their goals quickly and accurately. You will also convert these designs into product specifications for our engineering team. Finally, you will work with our leadership team to prioritize platform features and plan monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.
Success in this role depends on a few key traits. You must be able to clearly understand and decompose complex business processes, and handle situations where a one-size-fits-all approach is not sufficient. You must be able to build a strong, empathetic connection with the members of our account management team, who are the primary group of users for our platform. You must also be able to effectively communicate on technical details with the engineering team.
We'd love to talk to candidates with a product management background, or experience operating in a high-growth business. Past exposure to the commercial insurance industry is helpful but not necessary.
