Role overview:
We are searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst, a pivotal role to uphold our company’s financial health and growth strategy through financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Your mission: to analyze financial data, identify trends and provide valuable insights.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly financial analytics to various stakeholders
- Providing business intelligence and recommendations to stakeholders using inquiry, data, and reporting
- Collaborate with operations team on budgeting, variance analysis and special initiatives
- Prepare ad-hoc financial and operational analysis as requested
- Aid the broader finance and operations teams on special initiatives (e.g., systems implementation) and provide support on funds reconciliation, cash processing, and inventory management as needed
- Assist with financial statement and tax reviews and audits
- Provide support to the team with payroll, accounting entries, reconciliation, and month end activities
- Review business transactions to identify relevant accounting/reporting issues and potential cost-saving opportunities
- Manage Vendor Contract Management
- Identify, analyze, and interpret data trends and patterns
- Prepare reports for management and investors highlighting business performance and trends
- Support decision-making in business operations through data analysis
Who you are:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in operations, financial reporting, analysis, and planning
- Expert technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query, Power Pivot)
- You are curious and naturally inquisitive, always looking to learn more
- A natural problem solver
- Someone who can dig into the details, but also stand back and provide a high-level review
- A team player ready to contribute, learn and teach others
Bonus:
- Interest or knowledge in the digital asset space
- Experience with SaaS and Start-up financial metrics
- Familiarity with techniques (Python, SQL) to extract, analyze, and drive insight from large data sets
- Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools such as Cube, for financial modeling and reporting
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Metabase for data analysis, visualization, and presentation to drive insights and support business decisions
