In the Export Customers Team we have a unique opportunity to power up our offering to deliver greater impact to individual export customers and sectors beyond the enterprise. We are excited about the ambitious strategy that lies ahead, and we have an amazing team of people ready to bring it to life. We have the opportunity, for a passionate, customer-centric person to join our Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Tech & Services team! 
 
What you'll be doing - Te whakamahere 
Partnering with a portfolio of mostly early-stage customers across the tech, software and services industry, you'll bring your digital mindset, exceptional relationship building and external stakeholder management skills along with a collaborative approach to achieving collective goals. You also understand the importance of prioritising to achieve maximum commercial impact for our customers and the broader industry. 
 
This role is at the forefront of growing NZTE's customers businesses bigger, better, faster internationally for the good of New Zealand. You'll love this role because the work you do will directly contribute to the success of our Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Tech & Services customers through:  
 
- Creating true partnerships with our customers 
- Working closely with them to deeply understand their business, their challenges and opportunities, and their international growth strategy 
- Helping your customers to build a work programme so they can meet their goals 
- Being an amazing problem solver 
- Being a strong connector for your customers, to connect them to the right experts to address challenges and raise opportunities 
- Leveraging relationships across our global team to deliver for our customers

What you'll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga 
You are an accomplished expert in export sales and/or international growth of companies. Ideally, you’ll possess expertise in the scaling of software businesses.  You will be an enthusiastic, strong communicator with the ability to not only build rapport but develop strong and trusted relationships. You'll be a team player with a growth mindset and a commitment to getting the best out your customers and your peers. You will possess passion, energy, and curiosity to help our customers, that means you will be dedicated to understanding your customers' opportunities and challenges, and not be afraid to challenge their thinking. This will be done by connecting to our customers with empathy, credibility, and commercial reality.
