This role is based in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.

We’re looking for a versatile Communications Manager to join our North America team in Los Angeles (Santa Monica). Someone who is excited by the opportunity to tell the story of New Zealand’s world-leading enterprises and transformative industries, from innovative technologies to premium foods, sustainable consumer goods, and much more.  
  
What you'll be doing: 
·         Define NZTE’s communications strategy for the North America region (USA & Canada) across multiple industry sectors. 
·         Lead creative storytelling for regional projects or campaigns, collaborating with the wider Marketing and Communications team.  
·         Develop and execute internal and external communications to support New Zealand exporters’ growth across the region. 
·         Guide communications and messaging for regional leaders and trade representatives, including newsletters and speeches. 
·         Foster media relationships and oversee vendor agencies to ensure brand alignment and quality. 
·         Support the wider Regional Marketing and Communications team in planning and executing sector campaigns and events (Role will report to the North America region’s Head of Marketing, Communications & Solutions). 
·         Partner and liaise with counterparts from other regions on behalf of the North America team. 
 
What you'll need to be successful: 
·         5+ years of experience in Marketing, PR or Corporate Communications roles.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
·         Ability to define and execute communications strategy with and without agency support.  
·         Experience across a variety of industries in North America. 
·         Ability to adapt quickly to the messaging needs of new industries or subsectors. 
·         Bonus points for experience working as part of a global team

Please note that salary for this role is influenced by local market expectations, an indicative salary for the role is; $111,000 - $125,000 base plus paid parking and a medical insurance plan, including dental and vision coverage.
