SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded professional to join our Structuring & Analytics team as a Deal Valuation & Structuring Analyst. This role is critical in supporting commercial decision-making across LNG, natural gas, power, pipeline, storage, shipping transactions and emissions. The ideal candidate will bring deep market knowledge, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to structure complex deals that optimize value and manage risk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain valuation models for physical and financial deals, including natural gas pipeline, gas storage, power purchase agreement, LNG offtake arrangements, shipping and emissions
- Support the structuring and valuation of transactions across LNG, gas, power, pipeline, storage, and shipping
- Support negotiations by providing real-time analytics and scenario modeling
- Identify the optionality embedded in various contracts and be able to use option theory to value various options in contracts
- Maintain the portfolio valuation model and help to develop LT risk management framework
- Support the evaluation of carbon offset strategies and integration of CCS into broader energy portfolios
- Understand risk-adjusted returns and support investment decisions
- Create executive summary materials and presentations
- Act as a key interface between commercial teams and internal stakeholders including finance, legal, operations, and risk.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as portfolio optimization and asset development.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in structuring, analytics, finance, or commercial roles within energy, LNG, or commodities.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with commercial contract structures, pricing mechanisms, or risk analysis preferred.
- Deep understanding of commodity markets, contract structures, and infrastructure economics.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analysis clearly and effectively.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple functional teams.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
