SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Operations, the Procurement Coordinator supports the Rio Grande LNG site Supply Chain team in Brownsville, TX by executing sourcing, purchasing, and coordination activities for goods and services across multiple categories. This role provides excellent exposure to end-to-end procurement processes while ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance with company policies and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support procurement activities including sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers across various spend categories.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and Statements of Work/Statement of Services (SOWs/SOS) accurately and timely.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, benchmark pricing, and monitor industry trends.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Assist with vendor proposal evaluations to identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Help resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, delivery schedules, and invoicing discrepancies.
- Support spend analysis, budget tracking, and supplier performance monitoring activities.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with contract review, maintenance, and compliance monitoring.
- Support process improvement initiatives, administrative tasks, and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 0-2 years’ experience with internship or entry-level experience in procurement, purchasing, or Supply Chain role.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Supply Chain certifications such as CPSM, CCCM, CPCM, CSCP, MCIPS or other relevant certifications.

· Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
· Operates in a complex construction environment.
· Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
· Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
· Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
· Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
· Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.

· Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required.
