Job Summary
The Corporate Instructional Designer will play a key role in designing and delivering engaging learning experiences for various teams across the organization. This role involves supporting the development of instructional materials, facilitating training, and optimizing employee performance through well-crafted learning solutions. Experience in instructional design at the corporate level, preferably within SaaS organizations and demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Essential Functions

    • Instructional Material Development: Design and edit courses, curriculum, and learning materials to support diverse organizational teams and align with specific learning objectives.
    • Interactive Learning Solutions: Develop engaging computer-based training (CBT) modules, storyboards, and online learning experiences to promote knowledge retention and learner engagement.
    • Learning Assessments: Create and implement assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and measure knowledge transfer across various programs.
    • Training Support: Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to ensure employees understand and apply instructional content effectively.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), particularly in customer support and service departments, to create accurate, practical, and impactful training materials.
    • Content Lifecycle Management: Regularly analyze, update, and optimize existing training content to align with organizational goals and evolving needs.
    • Technology Training: Provide guidance to instructors and employees on effectively using learning technologies and tools.
    • Project Coordination: Support the management of instructional design projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
    • Instructional Tool Development: Contribute to the creation of instructor manuals, rubrics, multimedia scripts, and other educational tools to enhance learning experiences.
    • Process Optimization: Assist in refining instructional design processes to boost efficiency and learner outcomes.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest instructional design trends, methodologies, and technologies, applying best practices to enhance learning solutions.

Minimum Requirements

    • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design or corporate learning and development.
    • Proficiency with design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or other eLearning platforms.
    • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven organization preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
    • Certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Articulate Certified Storyline Developer, or similar credentials.

Working Environment/Physical Demands

    • Remote within the United States
    • Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 10% travel. 
    • Activities require a significant amount of work in front of a computer monitor.
