NextGen Federal Systems is seeking an Infrastructure Services Manager for our Federal Law Enforcement program.  The Infrastructure Services Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of both core IT infrastructure and the business-critical software applications that rely on it. Acting as the bridge between technical systems and business operations, this role ensures the seamless operation, security, and performance of IT services throughout the organization. The Infrastructure Services Manager leads efforts in hardware and software deployments, cloud infrastructure oversight, application lifecycle management, and system-wide monitoring to deliver efficient, secure, and scalable IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, databases, and network devices.
    • Manage cloud infrastructure environments, ensuring performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
    • Monitor and optimize network performance and security, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
    • Implement and maintain system backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to ensure data protection and service resilience.
    • Manage database operations, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance across platforms.
    • Supervise application development, deployment, and updates, ensuring applications are secure, compatible, and meet user and business requirements.
    • Monitor and manage application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cross-platform functionality.
    • Develop and enforce security policies and controls for both infrastructure and application environments, staying ahead of threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Forecast and plan for future IT infrastructure needs, aligning resources with growth and usage patterns.
    • Manage IT resources and investments to optimize performance and control costs while maintaining service excellence.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, software development, and business units to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or a related field
    • Minimum of six (6) years of recent experience (within the last two years) in infrastructure and program management similar to the scope of work described in the PWS.
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms, and databases.
    • Working knowledge of application development practices, software architecture, and cross-platform compatibility.
    • Expertise in network security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure and applications.
    • Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and resource management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Desired Qualifications

    • Possess a current Project Management Certification (e.g., PMI PMP® Certification).
    • Experience managing hybrid IT environments with a combination of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
    • Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise service management tools.
