About the Role:
- We are seeking a Data Scientist with a strong focus on Performance Data Analytics and Revenue Optimization to join our team. If you have a passion for analyzing large datasets, identifying macro-level trends, and developing strategies to drive company revenue, we want to hear from you!
- This role is perfect for someone with extensive experience who thrives in analyzing complex data, uncovering insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create actionable strategies that drive business growth. As part of a dynamic ad tech company, you will play a critical role in optimizing our data processes and directly impacting our revenue generation strategies.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze large datasets to identify key macro-level trends and patterns that will drive revenue growth. Provide actionable insights to optimize company performance and identify new opportunities.
- Develop and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the efficiency of ad campaigns and other revenue-generating activities. Continuously look for opportunities to optimize performance.
- Use advanced data science techniques to forecast revenue performance, predict trends, and model potential business outcomes.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align on strategic objectives and ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Build automated data pipelines and reporting dashboards to track performance and generate insights in real-time. Ensure data is easily accessible and understandable for various teams.
- Set up A/B tests to ensure inventory optimization occurs at the highest level.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues within data sets and performance reports. Create data-driven solutions to improve campaign effectiveness and other business processes.
- Have a deep understanding of internal reporting platforms and SSP platforms.
- Stay up to date with the latest ad tech industry trends, tools, and best practices to apply innovative approaches in revenue optimization and performance analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with large datasets, analyzing complex data, and driving business performance- preferably in the ad tech or digital marketing space.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL and data visualization platforms (Matplotlib, Plotly preferably). Experience working with big data and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle, MariaDB) and analytical databases (Clickhouse, Greenplum).
- Strong experience in analyzing macro-level data to understand market trends, customer behavior, and revenue optimization opportunities.
- Proven track record in identifying revenue growth opportunities through data analysis and applying data-driven strategies to improve financial performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments to achieve common goals.
- Adaptability - can weather changing priorities, accepts feedback from others and supports others on the team
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively present insights and strategies to different teams.
- Experience with advertising technologies, including ad servers, SSPs, and DSPs.
- Experience with Google Spreadsheets, Jupyter Notebook.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methods to drive optimization.
- Experience in integration with Power BI, Tableau, Looker and similar programs.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms to enhance performance analytics.
