Nexus Engineering Group, Inc in Maumee, OH seeks a Project Engineer to perform the following jobs duties: Ensure implementation of proper engineering standards, project procedures and quality processes; work with project manager and project team to review project proposal and establish schedule, work plan, budget, and procedures for accomplishing the project objectives, along with staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project; recommend project personnel transactions (hiring, transfers, wages, etc.) purchase requisitions, change requests, etc. in collaboration with project manager; review bid packages prior to distribution and reviewing proposals prior to submission to client; plan and coordinate all activities and resources on assigned projects; schedule and facilitate design review meetings (p&id reviews, 30-60-90 3d model reviews, phas); execute design change management process during design phase; implement clients management of change procedure from design through start-up; provide mechanical engineering support and technical interface management between client, equipment vendors and construction contractors by formulating written engineering responses to the parties; develop, maintain and verify closeout of punch list items at every stage of project delivery from conceptual design through startup; provide field engineering support to construction contractors and process requests for information (rfis); support client operations teams by drafting sequencing plan for commissioning various utility and process systems associated with the project; support the client maintenance teams by developing special equipment maintenance plans; provide on-site engineering support at start up and troubleshooting. 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Applications Engineer, or related. Must have 2 years of engineering consulting experience; 2 years of experience in project management and leading a multi-disciplinary technical team consisting of engineers and designers; 2 years of experience working with project risk management methodologies; 1 year experience working with process hazard and operability analysis; 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, petrochemical, or refining setting; 1 year of experience using MS Word, Excel and Project; 1 year of experience using AutoCAD.
