Working under the Lead Project Scheduler, the Senior Project Scheduler supports engineering project execution by working with Project Management to develop a detailed plan and resource-loaded schedule for all Home Office projects, analyzing overall resource utilization and tracking progress toward project completion.

Responsibilities

    • Plan and schedule the project from FEL & Detailed Design through the Construction and Commissioning phases.
    • Establish, develop, & maintain project logic networks, schedules and risk management data, forecasting, earned value, schedule variance analysis and schedule quality checks.
    • Serve as liaison between Project Services Department and Project Management, on all planning issues related to project execution.
    • Work with the Project Management Team and Project Discipline Leads to develop project plan and obtain project status.
    • Help review & update procedures and instructions for preparation and maintenance of project plans and schedules.
    • Support Project Management with reporting including risk analysis and earned value.
    • Reviewing schedule, progress and productivity of engineering services, track and monitor earned value progress.
    • Monitors actual progress and comparison to baseline, and reports the analysis, against the schedule, to Project Manager and Functional Managers.
    • Participates in regularly periodic Schedule Reviews to ensure that schedule reporting requirements are being met.
    • Meets with Project Discipline Leads and Project Managers to obtain project to update the project schedule.
    • Assist &/or develop the preparation of reports of Earned Value and variance of the Project Plan.

Competencies/Qualifications

    • 5-10 years’ experience developing engineering project schedules
    • 5+ years’ experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project
    • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • PMP, PSP or CCP certification, a plus
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
    • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Educational/Certification Requirements

    • BS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other equivalent experience
