Overall objective

The India Enterprise IT Leader is responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies, ensuring infrastructure stability and security, providing technical expertise and support, and staying updated with technology trends to enable business success.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement technology & infrastructure strategy to support Nielsen's operations in India, in collaboration with business leaders to align with business objectives. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
    • Ensure infrastructure stability and security - Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure, ensuring availability, reliability, and security of systems, servers, networks in data center and cloud environments. Monitor and evaluate the performance of infrastructure and implement improvements. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to technology and data privacy. 
    • Provide technical expertise and support and guidance to cross-functional teams. Stay abreast of the latest technology trends, best practices, and industry standards to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in Nielsen’s technology and infrastructure.

Experience

    • Minimum of 15 years of global work experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the Tech, Media, Telecom sector
    • Proven track record in overseeing management of IT infrastructure at a 4,000-5,000-employee strong GCC, with demonstrated experience in rapid scale up of IT infra. capabilities
    • Experience of managing infrastructure across media applications preferred
    • Strong track record of delivering tech. infrastructure management in a distributed working environment
    • Deep knowledge of security policies and standards maintained for US & EU media sectors
    • Strong technical competencies in infrastructure management, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation
    • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in the technology industry.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, able to analyze complex technology issues and provide practical solutions
    • Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a large team
    • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and projects effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • Relevant technology certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) preferred.
