Overview
As the global measurement and data analytics company, Audience is Everything at Nielsen.  In the role of Director, Client Solutions, you’ll be in a unique position to empower television networks, content producers, syndicators, and publishers to better understand their audiences and advertisers across linear and cross-platform channels. 

You’ll be part of a talented National Media Account team, where you will manage the day-to-day relationship across a diverse group of clients

The ideal candidate will possess robust written and oral communication skills, an ability to adapt to the needs of our dynamic environment, a strong response orientation, intellectual curiosity and passion for data, the ability to build and hone key relationships both internally and externally, and an enthusiasm for television/digital media. 

The associate will work with our major media clients to transform their traditional business to deliver content to viewers on their schedule and their platforms; this associate will work across the digital, ad sales, content,  distribution, programming, brand, and marketing teams by understanding consumer viewership behaviors across screens, implementing measurements and expanding his/her knowledge across the entire Nielsen portfolio with special focus on the Nielsen One initiative. 

The Client Solutions Associate will be responsible for owning the commercial relationship across several clients, including renewals, upsells, and client management responsibilities. The role also includes defining and managing the delivery of projects to provide valuable analytics and insights to key clients.   

Responsibilities

    • Work as part of the Commercial team to develop relationships with new and existing clients, using your initiative and judgment to adapt your communication and service delivery methods to meet client needs. 
    • Identify, prospect, and develop new client relationships and generate new sales/product opportunities.
    • Negotiate contracts with clients for Nielsen products and services.
    • Interface directly with clients in support of new business opportunities.
    • Expand client relationships beyond traditional research groups and networks to grow revenue, with a heightened focus on streaming services and platforms.
    • Develop expertise in Nielsen’s analytical tools and media data to help identify commercial opportunities across existing clients and drive revenue. 
    • Involvement in Account and Operations Planning to advise and influence the commercial strategy to help teams grow existing clients and build the business.
    • Assist with the creation of and processing of contracts and managing customer databases/Salesforce.
    • Based on your knowledge and relationship with the client, take proactive measures to identify potential revenue opportunities and communicate accordingly.
    • Manage project workflow from project setup, prep, briefing, and follow-up with all the relevant stakeholders. 
    • Study industry trends and insights to deliver impactful insights and strategic advice to clients and internal stakeholders. 
    • Be a liaison between all the internal partners at Nielsen and external clients.
    • Maintain SalesForce accounts records and opportunity pipeline.

Additional Skills / Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on marketing/market research, statistics, economics, other social sciences, or quantitative fields preferred
    • 3-4+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or media research (Client, Agency or Research/Publisher vendor experience)

    • Customer-centric work experience with the ability to drive revenue
    • Effective organizational skills providing the ability to identify priorities and meet all deadlines assigned
    • Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
    • Ability to independently analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations and insights
    • Self-starter with excellent initiative and communication skills
    • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Excel (pivot tables, functions, formulas, charts, graphs) and PowerPoint.  Google Solutions as well (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $66,000 - $150,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
