ABOUT THIS JOB:

Nielsen Global Media is a global independent measurement and big data analytics company focused on your future. We explore audiences everywhere—uncovering and discovering what they want—so businesses can make media that counts.
We are looking for a DevOps engineer who likes to work on cutting-edge technologies in an environment that gives you the autonomy to explore, learn, and adopt. Join a close-knit team of highly skilled engineers working in an agile environment, and you will be responsible for managing AWS resources by applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) model across various client-facing platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, automate and enhance SaaS/PaaS platforms built on AWS.
    • Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of production systems.
    • Build automated tests, monitoring and alerting mechanisms to help assure quality and stability of various services.
    • System troubleshooting and problem-solving across the platforms.
    • Suggest and implement best practices and architecture improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4+ years of experience with Cloud services in a 24x7 uptime environment.
    • Competency in python, bash and SQL for automation.
    • Experience with automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins (or similar platforms).
    • Experience with system monitoring tools, analyze and resolve complex infrastructure and application deployment issues.
    • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent work experience

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

    • Experience specifically with AWS.
    • Ability to code well in Python or willingness to learn.
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with Airflow, ELK, or similar technologies.
    • Exposure to Java microservices, ReactJS and NodeJS applications
