Our Barcelona-based office currently requires a Sales Executive / Sales Manager. We are looking for someone who has done account management and / or sales related jobs but ass important, this person must either have true passion around all things related to sports and / or experience within the sport sector.

THE ROLE AND TASKS: 

The successful candidate will join our Spain & Portugal commercial team, maintaining the current client portfolio and developing new business opportunities in the Iberia Region. Nielsen Sports' portfolio of services includes media analysis, market research, reporting and strategy services to better understand commercial investments within the sports and entertainment landscape. In this matter, Nielsen Sports manages a blue-chip client base that includes leading professional sports organizations, major sponsorship brands and television broadcasters.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Thoroughly understand Nielsen Sports services and methodologies, to identify commercial opportunities in the marketplace, both with current clients and business prospects.
    • Identify, create and develop business prospects with the objective of increasing the client base in the short-medium term.
    • Develop business presentations, understanding potential client needs and presenting a service offering that meets the client's requirements.
    • Articulate business proposals, adapting to the client's needs and the company's business objectives.
    • Study trends and insights from the sports industry to identify opportunities in the marketplace.
    • Assist in driving the renewal process for clients within the account group with a focus on upselling.
    • Contract renewals, billing management support, commercial department administrative duties......

What we are looking for:

    • 1-3 years of sales / account management experience.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint experience required.
    • Experience within sports sponsorship is highly advantageous, but not essential.
    • Experience in sales planning and sales activities (meetings, proposal writing, etc.)
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Exceptional track record in building and maintaining client relationships.
    • Intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of and interest in the sports business and sponsorship landscape
    • Entrepreneur with excellent initiative, commercial and communication skills
    • Knowledge of Sales Force is a plus
    • Fluency in English
CONTRACTUAL AND SALARY CONDITIONS: 

Indefinite contract.
Usual schedule M-Th from 9:00 to 18:00h, Friday intensive from 8:00 to 15:00h. Flexible working hours.
