ABOUT THE ROLE

Research and map TV programming information within Gracenote’s database. Create and maintain accurate TV database information for timely use in all products.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Edits and maintains information for Japanese TV / Video on Demand catalogs within Gracenote database.
    • Compares external program information provided by sources with internal databases and assigns  IDs and related metadata to Japanese TV content correctly within Gracenote’s system.
    • Researches and creates database records for new Japanese series episodes as needed.
    • Adheres to local editorial policies when entering data into Gracenote systems, ensuring all data is entered accurately and to correct standards. 
    • Provides feedback and recommends solutions to internal teams for operational improvements where possible. 
    • Communicates with and supports local and global teammates in completing mapping workloads and assigned tasks. . 
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Fluent, native speaker and writer of Japanese language
    • Candidates with the ability to read/understand English are preferred. Japanese translation of English TV content and system information will be required. 
    • Must have keyboarding proficiency.
    • Must demonstrate strong accuracy and efficiency with data entry.
    • Must be comfortable working within a team and also working on your own with a high level of autonomy.
    • Candidates with a passion for television and Japanese shows and movies are encouraged
    • Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night and weekend shifts
