The Product Marketing Director is responsible for bringing Gracenote’s products to market. This role encompasses working closely with Product, Commercial and MarComs stakeholders to develop strategic product messaging and drive go-to-market strategies for Gracenote products in order to accelerate revenue growth. This role plays a critical role in creating and executing product marketing strategies, messaging, content and campaigns to support the business.

This role will focus on bringing Gracenote Contextual Video Data to market to advertisers and agencies as well as ad tech companies and video publishers. The ideal candidate will possess product marketing expertise coupled with knowledge of the advertising ecosystem and related workflows. This role will ensure that product value proposition and messaging resonates with target audiences, competitively positions Gracenote and educates the advertising ecosystem on the advantages of contextual targeting.

Gracenote, a Nielsen company, helps media and entertainment companies around the world connect audiences with the content they love. Gracenote’s entertainment metadata and IDs power the entertainment ecosystem, from creation to distribution through discovery and monetization.

Responsibilities

    • Work closely with Product and Commercial leadership and in collaboration with Gracenote MarComs functions to develop and drive go-to-market strategies to convert, grow and retain customers and drive revenue for Gracenote products
    • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to manage GTM activities including product pricing, packaging and promotion  
    • Maintain a pulse on product development, roadmaps and feature releases and a strong understanding of how the product works to deliver on client business needs
    • Construct and articulate compelling product messaging, segment specific value propositions and differentiation from competitors, benefits and features that resonate with target customers and position Gracenote as the market leader in entertainment data solutions 
    • Manage buyer personas and client segmentation to inform messaging and campaign strategies
    • Develop client-facing marketing materials and enable commercial teams and external partners to confidently represent solutions and overcome barriers to sale. Materials and support include but are not limited to cross-functional alignment sessions, one sheets, presentation decks, talking points, case studies and website product pages
    • Align closely with Customer Success to understand client satisfaction, product challenges/opportunities and individual use cases for Gracenote products
    • Ideate external narratives for owned content, thought leadership reports and webinars
    • Create operational excellence around the maintenance of competitive intelligence and Gracenote’s differentiators, keeping MarComs, Commercial and Product teams up to speed on the latest news, product developments, positioning and partnerships 
    • Collaborate with Marcoms functions including digital marketing, communications, content and events to develop and execute integrated marketing plans that support commercial priorities
    • Drive product marketing strategy and provide support across paid and owned digital campaigns, industry conferences & speakerships, client events and more

Qualifications

    • 5-7+ years experience in B2B Product Marketing or Marketing
    • Experience in the advertising industry preferred
    • Fundamental knowledge of Product Marketing and a good understanding of related marketing functions
    • A proactive, goal-oriented team leader able to work independently and collectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong strategic and analytical skills that can be applied to interpret business priorities and develop marketing and commercial materials
    • Excellent organization, project management and problem solving skills
    • Amazing writing and slide deck skills and be able to tell a cohesive story through a narrative or a deck
    • A keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
    • Strong relationship skills capable of developing, maintaining and growing internal and external strategic relationships across partners and functions

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be $66,000 - $225,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
