We are looking for a committed and responsible individual with a collaborative approach to work. Above all, you’ll need an interest in the commercial side of sports and entertainment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead consulting projects

    • Lead consulting projects and work with senior consulting leaders to manage resources and ensure first class project delivery including seeking cross-department/market collaboration when and where required
    • Own consulting engagement work streams end-to-end, supporting senior consulting leaders on key strategic engagements from pre-sales and proposal creation through delivery to after-sale/ upsell activities
    • Develop client documents and presentations
    • Support the senior consulting leaders in developing the plan for the market across key sport & entertainment sector stakeholders - rights holders, brands, agencies & public organisations who have the propensity to spend on consulting initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive business development

    • Identify general market opportunities and potential upsells to existing clients
    • Develop client documents and presentations for business development purposes
    • Lead client pitches and presentations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Empower people growth

    • Guide consultants and analysts on day to day basis, identifying opportunities for their personal and professional growth  
    • Coach junior resources in the consulting team to deliver best end-results
    • Provide coaching and support to the broader business to continue our transition to more of a consulting-led business and trusted advisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Build productive day-to-day relationships with clients

    • Develop strong client relationships – we are a non-hierarchical team and believe in all consultants engaging regularly with our clients
    • Become a trusted advisor to our clients, supporting with business development opportunities and proposals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Invest in own professional development

    • Keep up to date with trends in the sports and entertainment industries
    • Use Nielsen’s broad range of learning and development resources to further your commercial expertise
    • Support team planning and process management

Requirements

    • Proven successful strategy consulting experience in a top firm or industry role, preferably with specialised sports & entertainment agencies (min 4-5 years’ experience preferably)
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
    • Proven project management skills and highly developed communication skills
    • Deep understanding of problem-solving skills and knowledge of developing management consultancy frameworks
    • Understanding and appreciation of the usage and analysis of data, market research, quantitative and qualitative, tv audience measurement data etc.
    • Knowledge of and passion for the sports and entertainment industry
    • Experience in delivering sports, entertainment or media work and related client management desirable
    • Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
    • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
