ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technician, you will be supporting in maintaining Nielsen TAM equipment and part of the technician team to assist in repairing and testing Nielsen TAM equipment
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test all versions of proprietary hardware, firmware and software to determine its suitability for release to Field Technicians.
- Log all failures and provide feedback on suggested modifications to the Lab Engineer and Field Engineer.
- Conduct repairs and alterations to metering equipment and ancillary devices
- Test the functionality of Metering equipment before it can be released to the Field.
- Complete the Repair Log for each meter or accessory that has been repaired.
- Provide telephone and direct support for all staff when required.
- Design or develop additional hardware solutions that will improve the overall functionality of the Metering technology.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Certificate in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications is the minimum prerequisite for this position.
- Previous experience in developing, repairing, testing and servicing electronic equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Drive and Google Docs would be an advantage.
