The Head of Sales will manage the country’s client base with the following channels:: Field Sales, and Corporate Accounts (local conglomerates, omni-channel business aka non-ecommerce channels). The Head of Sales will focus on managing the sales teams that will acquire new clients and expand the portfolio within existing clients. Alongside this, the sales teams will ensure the smooth onboarding of accounts onto the care of the account management teams. This department will fully utilize the current competencies, technology and delivery capabilities of Ninja Van to serve customers looking for courier delivery, retail delivery, and fulfillment services. The team will focus primarily on number of parcels delivered, revenue development and aggressive market share expansion by selling NV’s suite of products and related services that will be deployed.

Main Duties

    • Defines and communicates the KPIs and Targets to the Sales team on a regular basis, and analyses of patterns in client and market behavior. 
    • Responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing, and product development programs, targeted towards existing and new territories.
    • Responsible for the launching of new sales territories across the country.
    • Provides data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimize our commercial performance and improve market share. 
    • Design and develop commercial plans that include sales plans, pricing, and business support for the products.
    • Responsible for owning the financial targets and KPIs of the relevant channel.
    • Work alongside the business in the areas of strategy, account management, sales operations, and the financial goals of the department.
    • Work on complex commercial negotiations with our clients, including drafting and reviewing of all contracts.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client working teams, in order to be the first point of call for solving client issues and/or custom requests as needed.
    • Independently analyze areas of improvement for client accounts.
    • Working with the sales team to improve customer adoption of services and products.
    • Managing and monitoring the performance of the business across different territories.
    • Working across the different commercial and operations departments to improve shipper experience.
    • Categorize client wants and needs and employ strategies to address these through NV’s suite of products.
    • Work with the Sales Enablement (Trade Marketing) and Marketing teams to define a clear channel and customer strategy for the assigned shipper segment.
    • Develop and manage the sales teams by segment
    • Determine the strengths and weaknesses of direct reports to navigate challenges and areas of opportunity.
    • Identify goals and evaluate based on performance.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field 
    • Strong existing working relationships with clients
    • At least 6 to 10 years of extensive experience in sales and marketing in a leadership role
    • Experience in e-commerce, account management, operations management
    • Logistics Experience is a big plus
    • Prior experience in leading a nationwide sales team
    • With a relevant product and industry knowledge
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and a creative thinker.
