Responsibilities
- Source and purchase warehouse equipment, office item, packaging material in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
- Research and proceed cost saving initiatives which are possible
- Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required
- Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
Requirements
- At least 1-2 year purchasing experience, preferably within a freight or warehouse environment.
- Good English communication
- Contract management and inventory management experience
- Computer literate, to include advanced Excel skills; candidates with Netsuite experience is preferable.
- Strong negotiation, communication skills and problem solving ability
- Hard-working, integrity and able to work well under pressure
