The role’s key purpose is to exponentially grow the revenue contribution and parcel volumes attributable to self-serve shippers in the markets Ninja Van is present in. This is a hybrid role where you will be a co-driver, alongside the Business team, to draw strategies, initiatives and processes; as well as work closely with Tech teams to develop the end-to-end self-serve experience. 

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Co-drive end-to-end development of the self-serve experience for Ninja Van Shippers with self-serve business owner
    • Drive key acquisition and retention projects, working closely with other product teams, digital marketing, operations and business intelligence teams at both regional and local levels
    • Develop processes and best practices for key projects alongside self-serve business owner
    • Engage and challenge stakeholders to surface problems and refine ideas. Complement that with data and research to guide product development.
    • Act as an Agile Product Owner to execute the roadmap for self-serve products
    • Continually prioritize feature backlog to make sure we build the right stuff at the right time for the biggest business impact, trading off between tactical and strategic objectives.
    • Work with engineers to design and implement architecturally sound solutions in an Agile fashion, communicating constantly, iterating quickly and shipping frequently.
    • Prepare User Acceptance Test (UAT) scenarios, coordinate testing with stakeholders and manage the release schedule.
    • Train internal users on the new functionalities and drive operational implementation and adoption.
    • Take ownership of features throughout the product life cycle, tracking KPIs, and proposing further improvements with subsequent iterations.

Requirements

    • At least 2 years of product management experience
    • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment.
    • Strong ownership, leans towards actions, gets things done independently.
    • Agile mindset and willingness to adapt to change to meet business goals.
    • Great with numbers & data analysis to develop actionable insights
    • Familiar with modern web and mobile architecture, intuitive feel of how complex a given solution might be and what the technical implications are.
    • Good to have: background in retail, eCommerce, logistics or transportation technologies.
