As our Legal and Compliance Manager, your pivotal role ensures adherence to laws and regulations across our operations and company. Your expertise in navigating legal complexities, implementing compliance standards, and steering risk mitigation strategies is crucial in safeguarding our company's integrity and growth.

What you will do?

    • Provide well-reasoned and practical legal advice on various contractual and commercial matters, lead and supervise with complex cross-functional efforts, drive and align with other stakeholders to achieve the company’s best interest
    • Review, draft, negotiate and revise, and provide advice on a range of contracts such as B2B commercial contracts, supply distribution, procurement contracts, leases and general corporate documents in English and Thai
    • Represent the company in negotiations and discussions and other dealings or disputes with counterparties and governmental agencies by taking a practical and collaborative approach
    • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation and resolve them accordingly with key stakeholders as well as develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures
    • Promote awareness and understanding of internal policies and legal and compliance requirements
    • Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business
    • Efficiently conduct legal research and advise the stakeholders all related to logistics or relevant laws and regulations, business and commercial laws, general corporate matters, corporate governance and employment laws and regulations and implement changes in response to shifting legal trends to ensure consistency with the marketplace
    • Tracking and storing of contracts and other legal-related documentations consistent with the regional legal policies
    • Advise in and manage litigation matters and inquiries and investigations by authorities;
    • Advice in Thai Personal Data Protection laws and regulations and conduct legal training for the organization;
    • Liaise with external counsels on legal or litigation matters when required
    • Pursuance of claims with respective parties, handling, follow up claims with relevant parties, insurance companies and all stack-holders in the claim supply chain
    • Keep abreast of new legal developments or its relevant areas of compliance

What you will need?

    • At least 5-8 years of experience as in-house legal counsel with a private company or public organization
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Law from a reputable institution
    • Good command in English (both verbal ex. internal, meeting, training / documents such as Review, draft, comments, reports etc.)
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively to a diverse audience, and to explain complex regulatory legislation and principles
    • Multi-tasking, logical communication skill with work ability in pressure among a dynamic & complex environment to meet deadlines
    • Ability to learn the business quickly and provide legal advice that is commercially-sensible in the context of Ninja Van
    • Possess strong legal knowledge and research skills
    • Able to work independently and has a strong initiative to plan, manage, execute and complete tasks/projects
    • Excellence in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and able to advise stakeholders and management on risks
    • Experience in identifying legal or compliance risks and carrying out necessary investigations and assessment of the risks in order to advise management on a legally- round and commercially sensible solution
    • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines and adapt to changing priorities, operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
