What would a day @Nium look like?

    • Prepare, review and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
    • Gather, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to generate comprehensive and accurate reports.
    • Conduct data reconciliation where needed and address discrepancies before submitting reports.
    • Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless reporting processes.
    • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary, addressing inquiries and providing requested information.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with technology teams to implement improvements in data extraction and reporting systems.
    • Maintain organized and secure records of regulatory reports, supporting documentation, and communication for audit and reference purposes.
    • Stay current with financial institutions/payments/e-money laws and regulations applicable to IFSM, monitor changes in such regulatory requirements (including reporting requirements) and proactively adjust processes to ensure continued adherence.
    • Collaborate with other compliance team members to interpret and implement regulatory changes effectively.
    • Assist the Compliance Officer with drafting, reviewing and updating Compliance policies and implementing the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
    • Assist the Compliance Officer with implementing a Compliance Training Program and delivery of compliance training to various stakeholders as required.
    • Assist the Compliance Officer with preparing Regulatory Reports for the Board of Directors and senior management as needed.
    • Assess compliance within the institution with internal controls processes and systems via walkthroughs and testing.
    • Provide recommendations and collaborate with various departments to address identified compliance risks.

Which Skills & Experiences will make you successful?

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA will be considered as an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of reporting requirements and the local (Maltese) regulatory framework applicable to Financial Institutions mostly Electronic Money Institutions or Payment Institutions
    • Proficiency in using data analysis tools, and reporting software.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and data reconciliation.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Prior experience in regulatory reporting, or compliance departments is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required (especially fluency in English).
    • Ability to work effectively and diligently on own initiative and within a team environment.
