About the Role
Nium is looking for high-energy, motivated professionals with sound business insight and natural sales instincts to join, and help build, our Sales Development function in Europe.
As Nium’s first European [SDR L5] and part of the Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in initiating contact with potential sellers, advocating for the value of Nium in enhancing their business operations and payment solutions.
You will report directly into our European Business Development Leader and will have the opportunity to sharpen your payments knowledge and can elevate your on-target earnings through accelerators and advancing within the Business Development organization.

Key responsabilities

    • Create and develop outreach materials for high value prospects, in partnership with the Business Development, Account Management and Marketing team.
    • Research and prospect large value merchants across Europe.
    • Use multi-channel outreach methods (social media, outreach emails, phone calls) to qualify leads and schedule meetings between merchants and members Business Development team.
    • Partner with the European Account Management team to gain exposure to the sales cycle and further develop your sales experience.
    • Build and manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles.
    • Move solid leads through the funnel connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging meetings
    • Execute outbound sales plays created by marketing.
    • Initiate contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated from Marketing.
    • Develop relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning to qualify interest and viability to prepare hand-off to sales
    • Collaborate and provide feedback and insights to Marketing to help improve targeting and messaging

Requirements

    • Good understanding of the European payment ecosystems
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data insights to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset, capable of driving initiatives from conception to implementation.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • A track record of top performance or prior success
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills in both English and one additional European language
    • Self-starter who can operate in a hyper growth environment
    • Good understanding of CRM system (Salesforce.com)
