About the Role
As a SDET you will have a major role to play in the quality assurance stage of software development. You will carry out manual/automation tests to ensure the software created meets the requirements. This involves the analysis of software to prevent issues and fixing bugs before the product is dispatched to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the test automation experience at Nium by enhancing tools/scripts, test coverage, and/or code structure, and automate repeated manual tasks to improve self/stream’s productivity
- Build, contribute and maintain automated test suites and frameworks on API, Web and Mobile App utilizing Java/JavaScript or similar languages.
- Take responsibility for the entire life cycle of your stories: development, test, production, and subsequent fixes and improvements with the guidance of leads.
- Solve the complex problems and challenges towards business, product and tech into stable/scalable implementations.
- Ability to break down business and product feature requirements into tests effectively.
- Responsible for functional and automation testing.
- Build and contribute to test infrastructure and tools at an early stage.
- Deep expertise in Functional, Automation testing for Web, API’s or Mobile apps.
- Work with Business, Product and Dev teams in close coordination.
- Well versed with Agile methodology, SDLC and STLC.
- Ability to highlight limitations and raise concerns/risks in testing to the stakeholders before release
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in API using RestAssured Framework \Or Web Automation using Selenium, Nightwatch, Cypress or similar frameworks Or Mobile App using Appium (Android & iOS)
- Worked and built the frameworks from scratch with needed capabilities to make it stable and scalable.
- Hands-on experience and good in Java, Javascript, Python, Kotlin or similar programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE and TestNG.
- Service virtualization / Web Services testing through POSTMAN or any similar tool.
- Deep knowledge of CrossBrowser coverage, Selenium Grid Setup, Reporting Plugin’s (Extent, Allure, Report Portal), Device Clouds etc
- Deep knowledge of both Android & iOS platforms.
- Experience working with Android SDK, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Firebase, Google Play Console & Xcode.
- Proficient in CI/CD/CT Jenkins, Bitbucket, Gitlab or similar continuous integration and release management tools.
- Proficient in using product and test management tools like JIRA, Asana, TestRail etc
- Agile / Scrum / Kanban experience Soft Skills.
- Ability to work and communicate with cross functional teams.
- Good analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
- If you have experience on performance, infra and failover testing.
- Worked and good understanding towards AWS cloud, GCP, Azure or similar.
