About the Role

As the Latin American Network Manager (Director - Partner Relations), you will lead the expansion, development, and management of our payment network across Latin America. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong partnerships, optimizing network performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

    • Partner Management: Own the relation with all our regional bank partners, these are banks and payment service providers who collect, hold, or otherwise process Nium and/or Nium Client’s funds.
    • Network Expansion & Execution: Drive expansion and strategy in the region: new payment corridors, new functionalities, new bank partners, support Nium’s licensing effort etc.
    • Thought Leadership: Be a subject matter expert in the region: this includes regulation, pricing, risk appetite of the banks, and account opening processes.
    • Company Representation: Be a strong representative for Nium at senior level with regional bank partners and build relationships with counterparts.
    • Implementation: Drive contract negotiations, including pricing, with bank partners advocating for a fair position for Nium.
    • Project Management: Drive bank partners to meet deadlines that align with Nium’s product roadmap and set realistic expectations on deliverables.
    • Collaboration: Be able to work remotely and collaborate with internal Nium product, legal, compliance, finance, and treasury teams in various locations and time zones.

Requirements

    • 5-8 years of experience in payments and banking products.
    • Transaction banking and FX knowledge with expertise in understanding and clearly articulating complex payments flows to bank partners.
    • Knowledge of current state of regional payment networks, regulatory affairs, industry standards, and players in the payments industry.
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams into enterprise-wide outcomes. Demonstrated examples of success in managing internal and external relationships.
    • Analytical and conceptual thinker with ability to analyze and devise a strategic approach for Nium with bank partners, including commercial processes.
    • Proficient in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
