Your Next Exciting Role
Nium is looking for a VP - Treasury to work across its licensed markets and manage liquidity and FX risks. Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will be responsible for setting up the FX and liquidity management processes (including safe deployment of excess and customer funds) and transformation of the treasury function within the organization and help develop cash flow forecasting methodology. In a newly created role, we are seeking an individual who has excelled in a complex and high growth environment. 
As a VP - Treasury, you’ll support business initiatives to setup payment and financial risk management infrastructure and advise on optimization of returns and liquidity needs. At a certain point in time, this may also involve making the Treasury unit into a profit center by allowing FX positions based on pre-agreed risk appetite parameters. 

What would a day @ Nium look like?

    • Effective development and deployment of the Treasury governance framework and guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policy, procedures, and guidelines
    • Manage foreign currency exposure for G10 and non G10 currencies and creating risk mitigation strategies 
    • Ensure optimum strategy to cover FX exposure with appropriate conversions/ hedging strategies
    • Manage liquidity across banks and currencies based on seasonality of transactions and forecasted demand
    • Help in safeguarding customer funds as per local mandates in each country
    • Owner of development and transformation of the Treasury function including deployment of a Treasury Management Product in conjunction with the Product function 
    • Keep abreast of changes in the industry (products, customers, regulations) and keep informed of global, political, economic, and financial trends likely to have an effect on FX 
    • Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory bodies, audit requirements and established approved risk limit

Which Skills & Experiences will make you successful?

    • 15+ years of relevant work experience
    • Experience building, managing and leading global treasury function
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills
    • Experience of optimising intra-group funding and treasury risk management
    • Highly organised, self-motivated, pro-active, and results-driven
    • Resourceful, diligent with close attention to detail
    • Commitment to strong teamwork environment but also the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong understanding of treasury systems and how to implement new Treasury framework
    • Experience of implementing and executing FX and IR hedging strategies
    • Experience in Payment/Fintech
    • Degree-educated
