About the Role
The Senior Manager – Finance Operations will lead the FinOps function and will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial excellence and overseeing the safeguarding of client funds process. You’re an ideal candidate for this role if you have a continuous drive to enhance processes, systems and reporting. Additionally, you should be able to multitask, prioritise and manage the team’s workflows and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safeguarding of client funds processes, propose new procedures and improvements
- Oversee the treasury function and manage relationship with external partners
- Ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations
- Promote standardisation of processes and reporting, automation, policy documentation and implementation of internal controls
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledgers, maintain proper accounting records and an updated risk register
- Manage and review the team’s daily and month-end tasks while collaborating with other finance functions to ensure reporting deadlines are met
- Lead the Financial Operations team and set performance goals.
- Collaborate with all Nium departments, banks, legal counsel and other external stakeholders
- Manage internal and external audits, coordinate responses to auditor findings and implement action plans
- Assist with other global projects, support the Board and collaborate with other senior management, as required from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or MQF Level 6 in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar financial operations management position
- Experience in FinTech, treasury management, card issuing or acquiring is preferred
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a team and multiple priorities.
