About the Role
 
We are searching for an experienced Regulatory Licensing Manager with experience in US money transmitter licensing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding Nium’s licensing and other regulatory obligations in the US, which are critical to our success in the region. You will project manage money transmitter license applications, track regulatory requirements, file regulatory reports, liaise with state regulators, and oversee the ongoing maintenance of Nium’s money transmitter licenses. In addition, you will play an important role in ensuring Nium’s continued compliance with regulatory requirements within the US.  
To succeed in this role, you will excel at project management and execution, you are able to partner with multiple cross-functional teams and can creatively problem solve issues.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee Nium's US money transmitter licensing program, including applying and ongoing maintenance of state licenses and to ensure Nium fulfills our legal and regulatory responsibilities 
    • Partner with Nium’s Legal and Compliance teams to advise Nium’s business about federal and state money transmission laws, regulations, and licensing requirements 
    • Execute on regulatory reporting requirements by gathering data from multiple and disparate internal stakeholders, harmonizing data and ensuring careful and timely submission of reports and filings Manage and track state licensing requirements and deadlines, including quarterly reports and annual renewals, partnering with internal and external stakeholders as necessary 
    • Manage third-party licensing vendors and coordinate work orders  
    • Daily license maintenance and management of regulatory records 
    • Support regulatory state examinations or investigations or other compliance audits Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners and regulators  
    • Manage assigned work effectively, with a team-oriented approach 

Requirements

    • Minimum 4+ years of compliance and licensing experience with US money transmitter licensing, regulatory examinations or regulatory affairs 
    • Bachelor's degree or higher education qualifications 
    • Experience with money transmitter licensing applications, maintenance and management, including NMLS; examination and investigation experience a plus 
    • Familiarity with money transmitter regulations and financial services industry best practices 
    • Knowledge of AML, KYC, and BSA regulations as applicable to license maintenance 
    • Experience engaging with regulatory agencies and executive leadership 
    • Experience creating and implementing operational and logistical efficiencies 
    • Experience interpreting and explaining legal and regulatory obligations across multiple disciplines and levels 
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Jira, and Asana 
    • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills 
    • Strong project management and communication skills 
$76,000 - $140,000 a year
Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may offer additional incentives including but not limited to equity and bonus.
